The short version
Lanai collects only what we need to look after your stay: who you are, when you are coming, and anything you ask us to arrange. We never sell your details. You can ask to see, correct or delete them at any time by writing to stay@lanai.resort.
What we collect
- Booking details: your name, email, phone, country, dates, guests and the villa you choose, from the booking request and contact forms.
- Stay details: arrival flight, transfer, dietary needs, celebrations and any special request you send us.
- Health or dietary information: only when you choose to tell us (for example an allergy for the kitchen or a condition for a spa therapist), and only used for that purpose.
- Website data: pages visited and the device and browser used, through privacy-friendly analytics.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry and confirm your booking.
- To prepare your villa, transfer, meals and activities.
- To send the occasional offer or island news, only if you said yes. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
- To keep accounts and meet the law of the country we operate in.
Payments
Card payments are taken by our booking and payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
Who we share it with
- Transfer partners (seaplane and boat operators) need your name and flight to bring you to the island.
- Our booking engine and email providers, who process data for us under contract.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it (for example guest registration).
We never sell or rent guest data, and we never share it for someone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept for as long as the law asks for accounts (usually seven years). Enquiries that did not become a booking are deleted after two years. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to stay@lanai.resort or call +960 664 0190 and we will reply within one month.
